Cornbread and Poppy at the Carnival

Poppy is excited about the carnival, but Cornbread is nervous about the rides. Despite his hesitation, Cornbread bravely accompanies Poppy. They decide to ride the Ferris wheel, which Cornbread sees as calm and safe. However, once on the ride, it is Poppy who becomes frightened. The resolution of this story highlights the importance of courage and supporting friends in their moments of fear.

Cornbread and Poppy at the Museum

I haven’t read this one yet, but it’s next on my list! I’m looking forward to seeing what adventures Cornbread and Poppy have in the museum. Museums are great settings for stories, filled with opportunities for discovery and learning.

Cornbread and Poppy for the Win

In this book from the Cornbread and Poppy Series, Poppy and Cornbread enter a bike race. Unsurprisingly, Poppy is determined to win. Furthermore, another racer, Gerald, is a pompous mouse who has won multiple times and loves to brag about it. Poppy leads the race until Cornbread crashes. At this moment, Poppy faces a tough decision: continue forward to win the race or help her friend. This story beautifully illustrates themes of sportsmanship, teamwork, and the true meaning of victory.
